Glacier House Hostel combines economy, convenience, and congeniality in support of your Alaskan adventure! Come in winter for the aurora borealis and winter sports, or in summer for the fantastic light-all-night. A great place to stage from for all your adventures in interior Alaska!
The hostel itself is in a quiet residential area neighboring a park, yet within a mile and a half radius there are three major grocery stores, a dozen restaurants, and four stores featuring outdoor gear.
The large backyard with grill and firepit available encourage socializing in summer under the midnight sun, and year around there is plenty of room in the common areas to hang out, we have board games available, piano and guitar if you play. (Just please respect posted quiet hours!)
Glacier House was originally our family home, full of kids and friends. While loving Fairbanks as our "home base", we have always loved to travel, and hostels have long been our first choice for lodging. When the kids grew up we decided it was a perfect opportunity to offer the kind of experience we enjoyed to others. We have been happily welcoming the world to Fairbanks and Glacier House since 2009.
